Women's Distance Festival 5K
The Women's Distance Festival 5K is a running event held on 09/19/2026 in Tallahassee at 1800 E Indianhead Drive, running through Indian Head Acres. The event celebrates women in sports and often features more female than male participants.
The event benefits the Panhandle Chapter of Girls on the Run as part of a Transportation Safety Month activity organized by the FPSITE Safety Council and sponsored by First Commerce Credit Union. Registration for the 5K has a fee of $25, and a volunteer registration option is offered at no cost.
Awards include handmade artisan prizes for the top five women and the first man, plus Masters, Grand Masters and Great Grand Masters categories for both genders. Age group awards recognize the top three finishers in five year age brackets from 10-14 up to 90-95. There is a special Mother Daughter Team award based on the fastest combined time of a mother and her daughter, with only the fastest daughter on a team being scored.
