Women’s Distance Festival 5K - Dryden
The Women’s Distance Festival 5K is a women-only road race and walk held on Mother’s Day at Dryden Lake Park in the Town of Dryden. The course follows the Dryden Rail Trail / Jim Schug Trail along Dryden Lake; the trail is flat with a crushed gravel and packed dirt surface, and the event is categorized as a road race.
Online registration is required and remains open until two hours before the race. Entry fees are listed at $20 for general registration, with a $5 deduction for Finger Lakes Runners Club members and free entry for runners 18 and under. A coupon code is available to waive the entry fee for those with financial need. There is no in-person registration at the race.
There is free parking near the staging area, including spaces by the pavilion and a larger lot further north on Lake Road. Compost toilets are provided at the park. Water will be available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Post-race refreshments will be provided and results will be posted online shortly after the event.
Awards are given for overall and age categories, including first overall open, masters (40+), veteran (60+), first women in multiple age groups (1–10 through 70+), and the oldest and youngest finishers. No dogs are allowed on the course; jogging strollers are permitted only at the back for walkers. The event is organized by the Finger Lakes Runners Club and insured by the Road Runners Club of America. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
