About the race
Cayuga Trails is a scenic ultramarathon held annually at Robert Treman State Park near Ithaca, NY. The event features two challenging distances: a 50-mile race with approximately 10,000 feet of elevation gain and a 50K covering about 7,000 feet. The course is predominantly singletrack trail (95%) winding through gorges, waterfalls, historic stone stairs, and mixed eastern forests, offering a stunning natural backdrop.
Runners benefit from well-supported aid stations, drop bag options, and post-race food from Fitnell Farms. The race fosters a strong trail community atmosphere, supports local land trusts, and limits participants to around 440 to maintain quality and safety.
