Cayuga Trails : May 30, 2026

Cayuga Trails is held at the Old Y Camp, Robert H. Treman State Park, Ithaca, NY on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Distances offered:

  • 50 Mile - 50 miles, approximately 10,203 ft elevation gain
  • 50K - 31.6 miles, approximately 6,882 ft elevation gain

Course and aid stations

The course is predominantly trail - roughly 95% singletrack and 5% paved - and passes gorges, dozens of waterfalls, and historic stone stairs through mixed eastern forest. Aid stations are positioned on course with water, an E-drink such as Tailwind, Coke, and assorted foods including PB&J, bacon, potatoes, soup, and fruit; some gluten free options are provided. Entrants may leave drop bags at the Y Camp staging area (miles 10, 25, 35) and have one bag shuttled to Buttermilk (miles 15, 20.5, 40, 45.5). Buttermilk drop bags will not be returned to staging until that aid station closes; participants may retrieve bags after finishing. Drop bags left behind will not be returned.

Logistics and entry

Registration opened in October and is scheduled to close April 30. The event caps the starting field at about 400 runners. Poles are allowed; pacers are not permitted. Crews are allowed but parking is limited and additional crew cars are not permitted. Parking for the 50 Mile is along the staging access road off Route 13 South; 50K entrants park on Lower Park Road inside Lower Robert H. Treman and walk about a mile to the Y Camp staging area. Entrants receive a finisher's medal from Ragged Cuts and post-race food from Fitnell Farms; event schwag for 2026 is listed as TBD. The race has a no-refund policy but will roll entries to another RNR event if notified at least 30 days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
