Lucifer’s Crossing
Lucifer’s Crossing is a trail race event at the Old Y Camp in Robert Treman State Park, Ithaca, NY, held on Sunday, June 6, 2027. Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon: 13.2 miles
- 10K: ~6.66 miles
- 5K: 3.3 miles
Registration opens October 17 and the field is capped at 200 entrants. Registered participants receive park admission, an event T shirt (only guaranteed for registrations before May 1), and post-race food provided by Fittnell Farms. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for the Friday before the event at the Y Camp staging area; race day check-in occurs at the same staging area.
The course begins with a roughly 1.5 to 2 mile rolling ascent on the wooded Rim Trail. At the top of a steep stone staircase, 5K runners return on the singletrack Finger Lakes Trail. The 10K and half marathon descend through the Lucifer Falls gorge and then ascend the Red Pine Trail, loop past the historic Old Mill, and finish with a couple of miles of mostly downhill singletrack on the Finger Lakes Trail. Half marathon runners complete two loops of the 10K course.
