Lucifer's Crossing
Lucifer's Crossing is a trail running event held at Old Y Camp in Robert Treman State Park, Ithaca, NY on Sunday, May 31st, 2026. Entrants receive park admission, post-race food provided by Fittnell Farms, and an event T shirt that is only guaranteed for registrations completed before May 1st.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon 13.2 miles
- 10K ~6.66 miles
- 5K 3.3 miles
Each course begins with a roughly 1.5 to 2 mile rolling ascent along the wooded Rim Trail. At the top of a historic stone staircase, 5K runners turn left to return on the singletrack Finger Lakes Trail. 10K and half marathon runners descend through the Lucifer Falls gorge, then turn left for a steep ascent on the Red Pine Trail, loop past the historic Old Mill, and finish with a couple miles of mostly descending singletrack on the Finger Lakes Trail. Half marathon participants complete two loops of the 10K course.
Early packet pick-up is offered at the Y Camp staging area on the Friday before the race, and race day check-in is located at the Y Camp staging area. Parking is along the access road serving the staging area to the right off Route 13 South about 1/2 mile from the split with Route 34; the Y Camp area is ahead to the left and serves as the start and finish.
