Lucifer’s Crossing
Lucifer’s Crossing is a trail running event on Sunday, June 6, 2027 at Old Y Camp in Robert Treman State Park, Ithaca, NY. The event offers multiple distances on predominantly singletrack trails.
- Half Marathon: 13.2 miles
- 10K: ~6.66 miles
- 5K: 3.3 miles
The course begins with a roughly 1.5 to 2 mile rolling ascent on the wooded Rim Trail. At the top of a historic, steep stone staircase 5K runners turn left to return on the singletrack Finger Lakes Trail. 10K and half marathon runners descend through the Lucifer Falls gorge, pass through a natural amphitheater, then climb the steep Red Pine Trail. The route loops past the historic Old Mill and finishes with a couple miles of mostly downhill, flowing singletrack on the Finger Lakes Trail. Half marathon entrants complete two loops of the 10K course.
Entrants receive park admission, an event T shirt if registering before May 1, and post-race food from Fittnell Farms. Early packet pick-up is available on Friday, June 4, and packet pick-up is also offered on race day. Parking is along the access road to the staging area off Route 13 South, approximately half a mile from the split with Route 34; the Y Camp area is ahead on the left and serves as the check-in and start/finish area.
