Amica Insurance Women’s Classic 5K Run & 3K Walk
The event on October 11, 2026 features a certified 5K and a 3K course that start on Elmgrove Avenue across from Brown University Stadium, run through Providence’s East Side, and finish on the Brown University track. The 5K course includes mile markers at Blackstone Boulevard, Cole Avenue, and Sessions Street at the stadium gate.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Rhode Runner and on event day at Brown University Stadium; shirts and goodie bags are provided to the first 400 participants who pick up bib numbers. The event uses professional timing and scoring and has water stations along the course.
Teams must include three or more women; scoring uses the top three aggregate gun times. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams (first $300, second $200, third $100). Individual cash prizes are awarded to the top five overall 5K finishers (1st $300 through 5th $50) and merchandise or gift certificates are awarded to additional top finishers and age-group placers. Prizes include awards for age groups, a non-binary category, and competitors 19 and under.
The event includes kids’ races, a Kids’ Village, and a Health + Wellness Fair. Dogs are not allowed on course or in stadium gates; strollers are not allowed in the 5K and 3K walkers with strollers must start at the back. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House New England; the Women’s Classic has raised more than $1,080,200 to date.
