Annual WMU Turkey Trot 5K
The Annual WMU Turkey Trot is a 5K event organized by University Recreation at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026.
Online registration is available with a regular deadline of Nov. 18 at 11:59 p.m. EST for a $30 race fee and a late online window on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20 for a $35 race fee. Participants who register by Nov. 1 are guaranteed their shirt size; registrations after Nov. 1 are not guaranteed a specific shirt size. Registration offers two purchase options that are selected during the registration process: Just the Race (No Shirt) for $30, or All the Swag including a Dri-Fit race shirt for $45. In-person registrations are accepted at packet pickup and on race day through Nov. 21.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., and on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. Packet pickup will take place in the WMU Student Recreation Center indoor tennis courts. Dates and times are subject to change.
Awards are presented for overall top male and female in the run division and in the walk division, and there is a costume contest. Parking near the Student Recreation Center is limited and additional campus lots may be used. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
