Portage Winter Blast 2026 : event overview
The Portage Winter Blast 2026 takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in Portage, Michigan. The event is hosted by Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage and is centered at Loy Norrix High School, 606 E Kilgore Rd, Portage, MI 49001. The event includes these distances:

Registration, packet pick-up and fees
Packet pick-up and an expo are scheduled Saturday, February 21: early pick-up 11:00 am–3:00 pm at Loy Norrix High School and extended pick-up 4:00 pm–6:00 pm at Mitten Running Company (6290 S Westnedge Ave Ste A, Portage, MI). Event day packet pick-up is available Sunday, February 22, 6:30 am–8:00 am at the event site. Payment is required at registration; there are no paper registrations and day-of registration must be completed on a mobile device. There is no shirt guarantee for transfers or registrations received after February 8, 2026.
Registration fee schedule (selected details): the Half Marathon is listed at $55 until January 11 (includes a tech long sleeve tee; $10 discount for KAR members), $75 from January 12 to February 21, and $85 on February 22–23. The 5K and 10K are listed at $25 until January 11 (reduced fee without a tech tee; $5 KAR member discount; shirts may be ordered for an extra $25), $30 from January 12 to February 21, and $35 on February 22–23. Referral refunds are offered for referring five or more participants (up to $20 for Half Marathon, up to $10 for 10K/5K); referral registrations must use the special referral link at checkout.
