Event details
The Portage Winter Blast 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Portage, Michigan. The event is hosted by Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage at Loy Norrix High School, 606 E Kilgore Rd, Portage, MI 49001. The race program includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk

Registration and logistics
Registration is online only and payment is required at registration. There is no paper registration; participants planning to register on the day should bring a mobile device. There is no shirt guarantee for transfers or registrations received after February 8, 2026. Early and event packet pick-up locations and times are:
- Early packet pick-up: Saturday, February 21, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Loy Norrix High School.
- Extended Saturday pick-up: Saturday, February 21, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Mitten Running Company, 6290 S Westnedge Ave Ste A, Portage, MI 49002.
- Event day pick-up: Sunday, February 22, 6:30 am - 8:00 am at the event site.
Registration fees vary by date and event; early-price amounts and member discounts are listed for the half marathon and 5K/10K. A referral program offers partial refunds for participants who refer five or more new registrants. Sponsors include Mitten Running Co., Kellogg, Gordon Water, and others.
