Portage Winter Blast 2026
The Portage Winter Blast is a running event with multiple distances, hosted by Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage. The event takes place on February 22, 2026 at Loy Norrix High School in Portage, Michigan.
The event offers three race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
Packet pick-up is available in several locations and times. Early pick-up is on Saturday, February 21st at Loy Norrix High School from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Extended hours are offered later that day at Mitten Running Company in Portage from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Participants can also pick up their packets on race morning at the event site.
Registration is online only; there are no paper registrations. Payment is required at the time of registration. Registration remains open until the start of each event. Fees increase as the event date approaches, and early registration includes a long-sleeve tech shirt, though a shirt is not guaranteed for registrations after February 8th, 2026. Members of Kalamazoo Area Runners receive a discount on early registration fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
