Event overview
Witterings Beach Run takes place in November 2026 at West Wittering Beach, Pound Road, West Wittering, Chichester PO20 8AJ. The event offers three distances with canicross options:
- 15 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route runs along the sands of a Blue Flag beach. At low tide the sandy flats are used for running. The course passes views of Selsey Bill, the Isle of Wight, Chichester Harbour, the Solent, and the South Downs. The event is dog friendly with a limit of one dog per runner. Water stations are provided on each distance.
Entry includes first aid, on-course water stations, chip timing, a bib number, marshals, a finisher medal, a drink, finisher goodies, and a personalised certificate.
Course and logistics
Route GPX files and basic elevation are published: the 15 km route has about +25 m elevation, the 10 km about +17 m, and the 5 km about +7 m. The course is signed using pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards or road junctions are marked with 'Caution' signs. First aid support is located at on-course aid stations and the event centre.
Participants collect their bib on arrival and should bring their QR code. The event is plastic free, so runners are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Parking is arranged via the West Wittering Estate website. Spectators are welcome. Dogs should be accompanied with poo bags, water, treats, and an appropriate lead.
