5K with ME is a community event held inside Shirley Clarke Franklin Park in Atlanta with an out-and-back course along the Proctor Creek Trail. The event presents in-person and virtual participation and emphasizes sisterhood, wellness, and community connections.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K in-person and virtual
- 1 mile in-person and virtual
Several registration options are available, including entries with or without a shirt and walk-only entries where running is not permitted. Virtual participants receive race day perks by mail for some options and may receive a bib by email for no-shirt virtual entries. Shirts and medals are guaranteed for participants who register by 12/31/26; afterward items are available while supplies last.
Awards for the 5K include top 3 overall in both run and walk categories and top 3 in five-year age groups from under 10 to 80 plus. The 1 mile awards the top 3 finishers overall for 18 plus and top 3 finishers under 17. Walk category awards require that registered walkers do not run.
Additional elements include a Cheer Squad role with a special cheer shirt and assigned places along the course and finish area, and a Sisterhood Challenge group contest with a deadline of 12/31/26. Main parking is at 1660 Johnson Rd NW with a secondary lot at 1621 Johnson Rd NW; transport back to vehicles is provided only for participants with disabilities or injuries.
