5K with ME : event summary
5K with ME is a community running and wellness event taking place on April 25, 2027 in Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (formerly Westside Park) in Atlanta, GA. The course is an out-and-back along the Proctor Creek Trail and the event uses the park at 1660 Johnson Rd NW.
Event options include:
- 5K in person and virtual
- 1 mile in person and virtual
- Cheer Squad participation along the course
Multiple registration options are offered, including entries with or without a shirt, walking-only categories, and virtual participation. Many categories are limited to women and girls, while some youth entries permit boys under age ten. The walk category requires walking only for awards eligibility.
Awards and perks are part of the event. For the 5K there are top three overall awards in run and walk categories and top three awards by five year age groups from under 10 through 80 plus. The 1 mile has top finisher awards for adults and for youth. Perks include custom modest race shirts, finisher medals, and access to wellness partners; shirts and medals are guaranteed for registrations completed by December 31, 2026.
Practical information: registration opens May 10, 2026 and includes early pricing windows. Early packet pick-up is at Masjid Al-Quran, 500 McDonough Blvd, with sessions on Friday April 23 and Saturday April 24.
