5K with ME

5K with ME is a community running and walking event on April 25, 2027, held at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (formerly Westside Park) in Atlanta. The course is an out-and-back route along the Proctor Creek Trail and the event hub uses the park address 1660 Johnson Rd NW, Atlanta GA 30318.

The event includes in-person and virtual options. In-person run entries allow participants to run, jog, run/walk, walk, skip, or use any combination. There are walk-only categories where running is not permitted. Virtual participants choose a local route and receive race-day perks by mail. A Cheer Squad option is available for people who will line the course and finish area to encourage participants; Cheer Squad participants receive a special cheer shirt and reserved placement along the course. An extra bib fee is available on race day.

Most in-person and virtual categories are open to women and girls only; the 1 mile categories explicitly include women, girls, and boys under 10. Awards for the 5K include top 3 overall in run and walk categories and top 3 per five-year age groups from under 10 to 80+. The 1 mile awards include top 3 finishers overall (18+) and top 3 finishers (under 17). Shirts and medals are guaranteed for registrations completed by 12/31/2026.

Early packet pick-up is at Masjid Al-Quran and there are designated main and secondary parking lots near the park. The last day to transfer categories online is April 17, 2027; transfers after that date carry a $10 fee. Transportation back to vehicles is provided only for participants with disabilities or injuries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
