Witch City 5K Road Race
The Witch City 5K Road Race takes place in Salem on October 3, 2026, at Salem Willows Park on Fort Avenue. The event features a measured 5K course and is organized in support of the YMCA’s local programs and financial assistance efforts.
The course is stroller friendly and allows well-behaved dogs on leash. Free parking is available in the main lot at the Willows and along Fort Avenue. Race packets are available for pick-up on multiple days at the Salem YMCA and at Salem Willows; tee shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and must be collected by the start of the race. All sales are final; no refunds will be offered.
Timing is provided by Bay State Race Services. Results are posted at the finish line and emailed to participants after the event. Awards include overall medals for 1st place male and female, age-group medals for the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets, top three medals for non-binary and wheelchair categories, special prizes for the first-place male and female Salem residents, and costume prizes.
