About the race
The Wirral Way 5 mile race is a flat, out and back course on the Wirral Way, a path formed from an old railway line. The surface is gravel and the route offers views across the Dee Estuary toward Wales. The event starts at Station Road in Thurstaston, Wirral CH61 0HN.
Race Wirral provides on-site toilet facilities at the start and finish, a water station on the course and at the finish, and chip timing via Nifty Entries. All finishers receive a bespoke RaceWirral/Wirral Way medal and a goody bag. Number collection takes place on the day at the event tent. Parking is available near the venue.
Entry is open to people aged 12 to 89 for the event date. The listed entry fee is £25.00 with an additional booking fee of 6 percent. Refunds are not accepted; transfers are allowed. Young and vulnerable participants must be supervised by a legal parent or guardian while on the course. The event is organised by Race Wirral.
