Wirral Seaside Run
The Wirral Seaside Runs consist of a series of six separate racing events conducted along the coastline. This specific event marks the final installment of the series, which takes place on the last Wednesday of each month from March through August. Organized by the Pensby Runners, these events have been held on the Merseyside running scene for over 30 years.
The course is a point-to-point route measuring 5 km in length. The terrain is flat and fast, following the sea embankment. Participants begin their run near Leasowe Lighthouse in Moreton and travel along the embankment to reach the finish line located at Harrison Drive, situated near the Lifeguard Station.
Registration and race number collection occur at the Leasowe Lighthouse. Participants should note that the finish area is in a different location from the start; many runners choose to run back to the starting car park after finishing, or independent transport must be arranged from Harrison Drive. Those who participate in multiple races within the annual series are instructed to keep their race number for use in future events.
The event is open to participants aged 11 and over. Registration options include: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
