About the race
EPRC 5K is a chip-timed, one-lap road race around the village of Capenhurst in Cheshire. The course is described as fast and flat and runs on rural lanes, with the event held on a closed roads route. Race headquarters and number and timing chip collection are at Capenhurst Sports Ground, Capenhurst CH1 6HL. Parking is provided at Capenhurst Technology Park, Capenhurst, Chester CH1 6EH.
The race headquarters also serves as the warm up area; warm up on Capenhurst Lane is not permitted. The event records include personal best times of 13:55 for male and 16:37 for female. Prize money is offered for the first three open male and female finishers and for first place in veteran categories, with an additional prize for a new course record. Overall prizes are presented after the race; other prizes are posted out afterwards. Entrants must be age 13 or over on race day.
Entry fees differ by affiliation status, with a lower fee for UKA affiliated runners and a higher fee for non UKA affiliated runners. Transfer and cancellation rules are set by the organiser and include deadlines for changes prior to the event. Bottled water and a free ice cream are available at the finish area.
