Ellesmere Port RC 5K
Ellesmere Port RC 5K takes place on 12 August 2026 on a one lap, fast and flat course using rural lanes around the village of Capenhurst in Cheshire. The event is chip timed and is run on closed roads.
Race headquarters is at Capenhurst Sports Ground on Capenhurst Lane CH1 6HL where race numbers and timing chips are collected. Parking is provided at Capenhurst Technology Park CH1 6EH. The headquarters also serves as the warm up area and the event specifies that warm up should not take place on Capenhurst Lane.
Prizes are listed for first, second and third overall male and female finishers at £100, £50 and £25, with a £25 first place prize in veteran categories and an additional £250 prize for a new course record. Bottled water and a free ice cream are provided at the finish and sponsors will supply gels at the finish area.
Entrants must be 13 or over on race day. Entry fees are £16 for UKA affiliated runners and £18 for non UKA affiliated runners; UKA members registered at entry receive a £2 discount. Transfers and cancellations may be made by the stated deadline prior to the event. The event holds Athletics Association licence number 30497 and a course map is provided by the organiser.
