Ellesmere Port RC 5K
The Ellesmere Port RC 5K is a chipped timed, one-lap race held on Wednesday 12 August 2026 on rural lanes around the village of Capenhurst, Cheshire. The course is described as fast and flat and the event uses closed roads for the race circuit.
Race headquarters are at Capenhurst Sports Ground, Capenhurst CH1 6HL, where race numbers and timing chips are collected. Parking is provided at Capenhurst Technology Park, Capenhurst, Chester CH1 6EH. The sports ground is the designated warm up area; warming up on Capenhurst Lane is not permitted.
Entrants must be aged 13 or over on race day. Entry fees are quoted as £16 for UKA affiliated runners and £18 for non-UKA affiliated runners. Cancellations and transfers are allowed until 11 August 2026; refunds may be authorised at the discretion of the Race Director.
Prizes are offered for overall positions and category winners, including prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd open male and female (£100, £50, £25), first place in veteran categories (£25) and an additional £250 for a new course record. Bottled water and a free ice cream are provided at the finish area. The event holds EA licence number 30497 and a course map is available.
