Ellesmere Port RC 5K
The event is a chip timed 5K held on a single lap of rural lanes around the village of Capenhurst in Cheshire. The course is described as fast and flat and is run on closed roads.
Race headquarters are at Capenhurst Sports Ground, CH1 6HL. Race numbers and timing chips are collected at the headquarters, which also serves as the designated warm up area; participants are asked not to warm up on Capenhurst Lane. Parking is provided at Capenhurst Technology Park, Capenhurst, Chester, CH1 6EH.
Prizes are awarded for first, second and third open male and female finishers and for first place in veteran categories, with additional prize money offered for a new course record. Bottled water and a free ice cream are provided at the finish area. A sponsor will supply gels at the finish.
Entrants must be aged 13 or over on race day. Entry fees are listed as £16 for UKA affiliated runners and £18 for non UKA affiliated runners; UKA members receive a £2 discount if registered with UKA on entry. Cancellations and transfers may be made up to 11 August 2026 23:59. Refunds may be authorised at the discretion of the Race Director. The event holds an England Athletics licence number 30497.
