Ellesmere Port RC 5K
The Ellesmere Port RC 5K is a chipped timed race on a fast, flat one lap course on rural lanes around the village of Capenhurst in Cheshire. The event is run on closed roads and lists personal best times of 13:55 for male and 16:37 for female competitors.
Race headquarters and number collection are at Capenhurst Sports Ground, CH1 6HL. Parking is provided at Capenhurst Technology Park, CH1 6EH. The sports ground also serves as the designated warm up area; participants are asked not to warm up on Capenhurst Lane.
Entrants must be 13 years old or over on race day. Entry fees are shown as £16 for UKA affiliated runners and £18 for non UKA affiliated runners. UKA members registered at entry receive a £2 discount.
Prizes for overall finishers and vets are listed, with cash awards for first, second and third open male and female places and a bonus for a new course record. Bottled water and a free ice cream are provided at the finish area, and a sponsor will supply gels at the finish. The event holds an England Athletics licence number 30497.
