Seaside Race 2
The Seaside Race 2 is part of the Wirral Seaside Runs, a series of six events organized by Pensby Runners. This individual race takes place on the Wirral peninsula, utilizing a point-to-point route that starts near Leasowe Lighthouse in Moreton. The event has been a consistent part of the Merseyside running calendar for over 30 years.
The course is set entirely along the sea embankment, providing a flat and fast surface for participants. Runners travel from the starting area toward the finish line located at Harrison Drive, near the Lifeguard Station. Because the finish is at a different location from the start, participants typically run back to the car park at the lighthouse or arrange for separate transport from the finish line.
Registration and race number collection occur at the registration desk located at Leasowe Lighthouse. Participants who compete in multiple events within the series are encouraged to keep their race numbers for use in future races.
- 5 km
The event is open to individuals aged 11 and over. Registration options include entry for this specific race or a combined entry for the full series of six runs held between March and August. Guide runners may also participate when accompanying a registered entrant. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
