Wirral Seaside Run
The Wirral Seaside Run is a 5 km race organized by Pensby Runners. This event is the second in a series of six monthly races held between March and August. The route takes place along the Wirral coastline, utilizing the sea embankment for a flat course designed for consistent performance tracking.
The race follows a linear path rather than a loop. Participants begin the run near Leasowe Lighthouse in Moreton. The course continues along the embankment and concludes at Harrison Drive, located near the Lifeguard Station. Because the finish line is at a different location from the start, participants typically run back to the car park at the lighthouse or arrange for separate transport at the finish area.
Registration services are available on the day of the event at Leasowe Lighthouse for race number collection. Participants are encouraged to keep their race numbers, as the same number can be used for future entries within the seasonal series. The competition is open to individuals aged 11 and over.
