Wirral Running Festival
The Wirral Running Festival takes place on 31 May 2026 along Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton, Wallasey. The event uses a seafront promenade route with views across Liverpool Bay and a generally flat, fast course layout.
Three race distances are offered:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The festival is presented as the inaugural edition of the event and is held in support of Giddo's Gift. Giddo's Gift provides gifts, grants and support to teenagers and young people with cancer in North West England and North Wales.
On-course marshals will guide participants around the route. An event village is provided with food and drink options and free items from partners are available at the finish area. The organiser reports that sustainability has become a key consideration in event planning.
