Winters Spooktacular Fun Run and Costume Contest
The Winters Spooktacular Fun Run and Costume Contest takes place on October 25, 2026, at Rotary Park, corner of Railroad Ave and Main St, Winters, CA 95694. The event is presented by the Winters Runners and Walkers Club and shares park space with the Winters Farmers Market on race day.
Event distances and formats:
- 1 Mile Monster Dash - untimed children’s mile with costume contest eligibility
- 1 Mile Adult - untimed one-mile for adults and teens
- 5K Run or Walk - timed event with chip timing
- 10K Run or Walk - timed event with chip timing
Finishers in all races receive custom medals. 5K and 10K participants receive chip timing and place awards for male and female 1st through 3rd. Some finishers receive a tech tee and one free Hooby’s beverage (alcohol requires age verification); shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before October 9, 2026. There are separate costume contest prizes for individual and group entries across the races.
Additional notes: online registration cutoff is October 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Late registration and packet pick-up occur the day before at Hooby’s Brewing on Main Street and on race day at Rotary Park. The 5K and 10K courses are open to regular traffic; participants should observe traffic laws and volunteers may be stationed at intersections.
