Davis Stampede
The Davis Stampede is a community road running event held on February 22, 2026 in Davis, California. The event starts and finishes at Playfields Park in South Davis and includes multiple distance options and participant categories.
Distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 2K Family Fun Run/Walk
Courses run along tree lined greenbelts, through neighborhood streets, and on paved city routes. The Half Marathon route passes near the Wildhorse Nature Preserve and alongside a golf course, includes sections on gravel or decomposed granite, and travels by Putah Creek and several bike tunnels. Water and electrolyte replacement stations are provided along the longer courses.
Event services include chip timing, finisher medals, event t shirts, pace groups for the half marathon, and a post race expo. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards use net time. Special divisions are available such as a cancer survivor division, local resident and adaptive divisions, and wheelchair entrants are scored within appropriate categories.
Packet pick up is provided at the venue the day before and on race day. The event benefits the nonprofit Cancer Champions. Volunteer roles and support runner or guide categories are part of the event structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
