Davis Stampede

The Davis Stampede is a road race held in Davis, California on Sunday, February 22, 2026, produced by A Change of Pace. The event starts and finishes at Playfields Park in South Davis and offers multiple race divisions and support for adaptive athletes. The event benefits Cancer Champions.

Distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • 2K Family Fun Run/Walk

Courses are mostly flat and travel along Davis greenbelts, through neighborhoods, and on city streets. The Half Marathon route passes through the Wildhorse Nature Preserve, skirts a nearby golf course, goes alongside Putah Creek, and crosses seven bike tunnels. There are short sections of gravel or decomposed granite on the Half Marathon and near Barovetto Park. Water and electrolyte replacement are provided at stations along the longer courses.

Race services include chip timing, finisher medals, short sleeve performance shirts with an optional long sleeve upgrade, pace groups for the Half Marathon, and a post-race expo. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group and most division awards are based on net time. Special divisions include a cancer survivor division, Davis resident, adaptive/wheelchair, college students, and teachers/educators. Virtual participation is offered; virtual packets are mailed and virtual results may be submitted later.

Packet pick-up is available the day before at Playfields Park and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
