Wintergreen Ekiden Relay
The Wintergreen Ekiden Relay is a five-leg team relay held around Wintergreen Golf & Country Club and nearby mountain trails in Bragg Creek. The race is run relay style with only one team member on course at a time. Distances for each leg vary and the overall distance is approximately a marathon.
The route uses a mix of golf cart path, Wintergreen access road and the old ski hill. Legs 2 and 3 include a climb of about 1 km along the chair lift line to the top. The approach to the ski hill is a dirt service road, the climb is single track and the descent is a double track trail. The cart path surface is roughly 20% asphalt and 80% packed gravel.

- Five legs, each between 7 km and 9 km
- Total distance about 42 km
- Solo division: 41 km, 4.5 hour cut off
Gathering takes place in the parking lot with indoor space available for washrooms only. Lunch is included in the entry fee and Annex beer is available for purchase. Race packages are available for pick up at Strides Running Store Marda Loop the day before, with an option to have packages sent to Strides Fish Creek if notified in advance. The 2025 edition was cancelled due to low registration and organisers plan a return in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
