Wild Rose Women's Winter Indoor Triathlon
This is an indoor triathlon run in assigned heats. Each athlete has 10 minutes to swim (any stroke), 20 minutes to bike on a stationary bike led by a spin instructor, and 15 minutes to walk or run laps on the track. Heat assignments are based on swim pace and are communicated one week before the event.
Transition times are controlled: 15 minutes to move from the pool to the spin room and 5 minutes to move from the bike to the track. Participants must check in at least 30 minutes before their heat for body marking and group assignment. Swim lanes are organized with up to four swimmers per lane and a counter-clockwise flow; passing etiquette and lifeguard supervision are provided.
The event takes place at the SLS Centre in Cochrane and accepts participants aged 10 and up. Automatic 10% age discounts apply for ages 10–18 and 55+. Registration fees vary by registration period, ranging from 65 to 90 dollars before taxes and fees. The event package includes an official race bib, a commemorative finisher's bracelet, post-race massage, and a post-race smoothie. Volunteer roles are part of the event operations and package pick-up is available the day before or on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
