Winter Warrior Half, Quarter & Relay
The event on January 9, 2027 takes place at Monroe Community College in Rochester and offers in-person and virtual formats across multiple distances. The half marathon is run as four loops of the campus, the quarter marathon as two loops, and the four-person relay has each team member complete one loop (about 3.1 miles). The course is slightly altered this year due to on-campus construction. Spectators can view participants on every loop. Parking is available in MCC Lot G.
In-person entries include a knit Winter Warrior hat for early registrants, a custom finisher medal, online results, a digital finishers certificate, optional apparel for purchase, indoor restrooms and a place to warm up, post-race pizza, and overall, age-group, and relay awards. Virtual entries receive the knit hat, mailed finisher medal, online results via submission, and a digital certificate; mailed items will ship the week of January 11. All events are capped and awards are not mailed; awards will be available at an awards table inside the gymnasium.
Relay teams receive individual bibs without timing chips and one timing bib attached to a belt that must be passed between teammates and returned at the finish so the team time registers. Athletes can add the Four Season Challenge as an add-on, which includes additional medals and limited-edition items and recognition for top overall times.
