Winter Resilience 5K Run/Walk & Kids Run
The event takes place on December 13, 2026 at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, NJ. It is the final race of the Four Seasons Run Series organized by Purpose Runners Foundation and Insight Run Club. The series features four signature races with interlocking medals; participants can complete a missing race virtually and collect the final medal at this event.
Distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Kids Run
- Free Walk (no bib or medal)
Registration options list a paid 5K entry (base fee shown as $40 plus processing fees), a free kids fun run, and a free walk option. Optional Winter limited edition long sleeve shirts are available for an additional fee while supplies last.
On race day there are chip timing and live results, personalized bibs for registrants who register at least three weeks in advance, finisher medals for runners, a marked course with water stations, a recovery station, a DJ, and free race photos. Live online results and same-day finish line photos are provided.
Awards include trophies for the top three male and female finishers and age group awards for 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. The event accepts toy and clothing donations on race day to support holiday gifts for the Boys and Girls Club of Newark. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
