Winter On The Downs 55 Miles

Winter on the Downs is an ultra-running event featuring two single-loop races of 55 miles and 100 miles, set in the scenic trails of East and West Sussex. Starting and finishing in Eastbourne, participants will traverse iconic landscapes, including Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. The 55-mile route includes 7,700 feet of elevation, while the 100-mile course features 14,000 feet.

The terrain consists of grass trails, farm tracks, and woodland paths, offering a mix of runnable sections and challenging climbs. This event is part of the South Downs Triple Crown challenge, encouraging runners to complete three ultra-distance races within a year.
