BBB10k - Battle, East Sussex

The BBB10k is a community road race organised by the Battel Bonfire Boyes that runs through the historic streets and surrounding villages of Battle, finishing beside Battle Abbey. The course combines country lanes and tarmac with several hilly sections and is described as accurately measured. A junior event of 1500 m is chip timed and starts outside the Abbey.

Included for competitors are a bespoke medal and trophies and prizes for leading runners; the junior run uses chip timing. Published offers list prices of £7 for the junior run and £22 for the 10k, and an on-the-day 10k entry fee of £25 is noted as subject to availability. A detailed 10k route map and GPX files are available for download.

Race headquarters are on The Abbey Green, High Street, with the start about 100 m from race HQ and the finish under the shadow of Battle Abbey. Parking in town is pay and display and is available on a first come, first served basis; parking is not permitted on the High Street. The nearest railway station is Battle, approximately 1 mile from the race HQ.

Reviews and event feedback commonly mention strong local support and well regarded marshalling. Several reports note limited toilet provision and the absence of an organised bag drop as areas of concern for some entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
