The 1066 Triathlon
The 1066 Triathlon is organised by First Stride Events at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and follows routes through 1066 country with a sea swim landing on the shores of Bexhill and transitions at the pavilion.
The swim takes place on the beaches adjacent to transition. Participants complete a clockwise loop of one of the available distances and athletes are set off in waves by race distance.
- 750 m clockwise loop
- 1.5 km clockwise loop
- 1.9 km clockwise loop
The bike course runs through the Sussex countryside on mainly fast and flat roads with a few short climbs. There are no aid stations on the bike course.
The run consists of a 5 km loop along the promenade. The course is pan flat and includes two aid stations on the run course; athletes pass through these on each lap.
Sprint, Standard and Middle Distance options are available. All finishers receive a medal. Prizes for the top three male and female finishers in each event will be sent out in the week following the event. Entry fees shown for the event range from £70 to £90.
