Event format, safety, and scoring

The event runs as a loop challenge with two course lengths:

2-mile loop (Running division)
1-mile loop (Rucking division)

Each athlete begins with 30 minutes to complete their loop. After each completed lap the allowed time is reduced by one minute for the next round (30, 29, 28 minutes, and so on). Athletes who miss a cutoff are removed; a competitor’s score is the total number of completed laps. The event continues until only one athlete remains in a division or until all athletes time out. Separate podiums are maintained for Running and Rucking.

Organizers require winter gear and will send recommendations after registration. On-site staff, a warm-up area, hot drinks, and an aid station are provided.
