The Krrbrrr : Knik River Break-Up Ramble Run

The Krrbrrr, titled the Knik River Break-Up Ramble Run, is scheduled for April 4, 2026 in Palmer, AK at 17704 Sullivan Ave. The event is the ninth annual edition and runs within an eight hour time period. Participants may run as many loops as they choose during that period.

The course uses a variety of trail types, including flat, steep, rolling, wide, double-wide, and single-track sections. Trail conditions may include slush, slop, mud, ice, horse manure, thorns, and exposed blood in places, along with scenic views. The organizer describes the event as low key rather than a polished, hand held, or catered race.

Registrations submitted after March 6 are not guaranteed a shirt. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mat-Su Sentinel, a nonprofit news website that provides free, community-based news for the Mat-Su area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
