The Krrbrrr - Knik River Break-Up Ramble Run

The Krrbrrr is the 9th annual Knik River Break-Up Ramble Run taking place on April 4, 2026 in Palmer, AK at 17704 Sullivan Ave. The event runs as an 8-hour timed window during which participants may complete as many laps as they choose. The organizer describes the event as very low key and informal rather than a highly managed race.

The course uses a mix of trail types: flat, steep, rolling, wide, double-wide, and single-track. Trail conditions may include slush, slop, mud, ice, horse manure, thorns and exposed blood; views are also mentioned. Participants can run for any duration up to the 8-hour event.
