Winter Enigma Marathons & Half Marathon : January 2027

The Winter Enigma events take place on 2nd and 3rd January 2027 at Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove, Bletcham Way, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, MK7 8HP. The programme includes marathon and half marathon races on both days. The races are held clockwise around Caldecotte Lake.

Marathon - 7.5 clockwise laps of Caldecotte Lake
Half marathon - 3.5 clockwise laps of Caldecotte Lake

Course, rules and support

A route description is given at the event location. The marathons have a hard time limit of 7 hours; anyone finishing after this will be recorded as a DNF. The half marathon has a 4 hour time limit. The event is held in accordance with 100 Marathon Club rules. Race support includes a starter, timekeeper and race referee, a large pub car park, and water and toilets on every lap of the lake course. Participants are required to wear suitable clothing and footwear. All finishers receive a spinning medal.

Entries and cancellation

Entry fees are £39.99 per marathon and £35.99 per half marathon. There are no refunds. Entries may be deferred up to seven days before the event and transferred to another Enigma event that is open to entries. Deferred entries must be used within 18 months. Participants must be 18 years or over on the day of the event and compete at their own risk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
