Winter Enigma Marathons & Half Marathon
Winter Enigma takes place in Milton Keynes at Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove, Bletcham Way, Caldecotte, MK7 8HP on 2 and 3 January 2027. Each race follows laps of Caldecotte Lake and route maps are provided on the event Courses Page.
Events include:
- Marathon: 7½ scenic laps of Caldecotte Lake
- Half Marathon: 3½ scenic laps of Caldecotte Lake
Each race is run clockwise. Mandatory race briefings are held before each start. There is a hard time limit of 7 hours for each marathon; anyone finishing after 7:00 will be recorded as a DNF. The half marathon has a 4 hour limit.
Officials listed for the event include a starter, timekeeper and race referee. Support includes water and toilets available every lap and a large pub car park near the venue. The event is held in accordance with 100 Marathon Club rules. Participants are asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Entry fees are stated as £39.99 for each marathon and £35.99 for each half marathon. The organiser’s stated policy is that refunds are not given. Entries may be deferred up to 7 days before the event to another Enigma event that is open to entries, and deferred entries must be used within 18 months. Participants must be 18 years or over, be medically fit to compete and accept the risks of taking part. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
