Salcey Forest Duathlons and Trail Runs
This is a new multisport event held at Salcey Forest, Wootton Rd, Northampton NN7 2HX, offering duathlon and trail run options. The programme includes Sprint and Standard duathlons alongside separate trail runs of two distances. The event is scheduled for 25 October 2026.
Distances
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km, Cycle 18 km, Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10 km, Cycle 32 km, Run 5 km
- Trail Runs: 5 km and 10 km
Running routes are fully off road on forest trails that combine paths and open sections, with gentle undulations. Cycling routes use quiet roads with mostly left turns. All running routes are described as runnable and well maintained.
A secure transition area is provided for duathlon competitors. Race and bike numbers must match racking spots. A small bag or box is permitted inside transition. Bike numbers must be attached and helmets visible before entry; numbers will be checked before leaving transition.
Live chip timing is provided and results will be published online shortly after the event. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer branded merchandise, and a drink and snack.
