Event overview
The Winter Conway Robinson 5k & 10k takes place on March 7, 2026, at Conway Robinson State Forest in Gainesville, VA. Points count toward the 5k, 10k, Back of the Pack Series, and the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. The race supports the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. Registered runners receive a finisher’s coin, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before Feb 25. Registration fees listed are:
- 5k : $30 until Feb 15 ($35 afterward)
- 10k : $45 until Feb 15 ($50 afterward)
Course and logistics
The course is a loop through forest trails with some technical terrain and minor hills. The 10k is two laps of the 5k course. Course maps and elevation information are provided for the route. The 10k course has five water stations at approximately miles 1.05, 2.1, 3.1, 4.15, and 5.2; the 5k has two water stations at about miles 1.05 and 2.1. Portajohns are located in the state forest parking lot. Packet pickup is available at the event; attendees are advised to arrive about one hour before their race to check in. There will be no on-site race registration. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to age-group placings.
