Rare Strides 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Long Beach
Rare Strides is a fundraising running event held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, to benefit Rare Disease Advocates (RDA). RDA is a nonprofit coalition of healthcare professionals that provides financial support to people facing rare and complex diseases. Organizers state that 100% of the event proceeds and donations go directly to support patients.
The event uses the Long Beach beach path in Belmont Shores (near 54th Place and East Ocean Boulevard). The course is an open beach-path route with marked out-and-back loops. Participants should be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. An aid station at the turnaround by the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.

Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12-24 hours, and assorted snacks and samples.
