Fun in the Sun 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Long Beach
The event on Saturday, June 6, 2026, takes place along the Long Beach Belmont Shores beach path near 5400 E. Ocean Blvd. The course is an open, marked beach-path route using out-and-back loops. Runners must share the path with pedestrians, other runners, and cyclists.
Distances offered:
- 5k out-and-back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start/finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided for the 5k and the half marathon loop. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free race photos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours after the event, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
The event has a no-refund policy; transfers are handled by request to the organizer. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; early-start arrangements may be requested from the organizer.
