Course and on-course support
Races use out-and-back routes along the beach path near Belmont Pier. The beach path is an open course shared with other users; runners are asked to stay on the right side for pedestrians while cyclists use the left side. A fully stocked water station is located at Belmont Pier. The finish area has an aid station with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station has a first aid kit and High Tide Runs crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag.
Logistics, results and awards
The official race location is Belmont Pier, 25 39th Place, Long Beach, CA 90803. Parking in the lot is paid at $2 per hour; street parking is free. Bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and photo tracking. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants must bring their own bag. Overall 1st place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are emailed the day after the event; race photos are free.
