Winship 5K
The Winship 5K is an annual run and walk held on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The event uses McDonough Field as its campus location and offers both in-person and virtual participation. It is described as family-friendly and supports cancer research at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
The event benefits research and advances in cancer treatment. In 2025, the fifteenth annual Winship 5K raised more than $1,300,000; the 2025 results show $1,359,071 raised against a $1,000,000 goal. Since its inception the event has raised over $12.75 million in support of Winship Cancer Institute.
Participants may register as individuals or form teams. Organizers suggest a $250 minimum fundraising goal for participants who fundraise on behalf of the institute. Registration for the 2026 edition opens in June 2026 and the event is scheduled for October 3, 2026.
