Winona Forest's Chase The Day Trail Ultra
This trail ultra in Mannsville, NY is held at the Winona Forest CCC Camp and offers timed loop formats of 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours, plus a 3 person team category that applies to the 24 hour option only. The course is a well maintained 2.65 mile loop on smooth, non-technical trail with no significant elevation gains or descents.
The event records laps; winners are the entrants who complete the most laps in their chosen time, with ties resolved by who reached that lap total faster. Runners who complete 100 miles within the 24 hour period earn a custom belt buckle.
There is one main manned aid station near the start/finish that provides typical ultra nutrition, hot food options, and electrolyte replacement provided by Tailwind. Water coolers will be available on site through Sunday morning. The event is 100% cup free so participants must use their own bottle or cup. Two portable toilets will be on site and parking is free close to the route.
Participants may set up a personal aid area or tent around the start/finish on a first come, first served basis; space is available for base camp and limited camping around the CCC Camp area. Campervans and reasonably sized RVs may use parking areas but personal camp fires are not allowed. Trekking poles are permitted. The event is capped at 120 participants.
