1812 Challenge Weekend
The 1812 Challenge Weekend takes place Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, 2026, in Sackets Harbor, NY. Races are centered at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield, with the 5K and 5 Miler starting and ending at the Brewery on Saturday and the 18.12 Challenge and Half Marathon held on Sunday. The event includes a Kids Run and multiple combined challenge options for participants who enter more than one distance.

Combined challenge options include the Patriot Challenge (5K and Half Marathon), Victory Challenge (5K and 18.12), Liberty Challenge (5K and 5 Miler), Freedom Challenge (5K + 5 Miler + 18.12 for a total of 26.22, marathon-equivalent), Independence Challenge (5 Miler and 18.12), Militia Challenge (5 Miler and Half Marathon), and Colonial Challenge (5K, 5 Miler and Half Marathon). Finishers of combined challenges receive an additional medal or pin.
Packet pickup is available at local locations on the days before and during the weekend: Confluence Running North Country in Watertown, 1812 Brewing Company, and the Sackets Harbor Battlefield (look for the Confluence Running tent). Course maps are provided for the 5K, Half Marathon, and 1812 Challenge. Sponsors listed include 1812 Brewing Company and Chrissy Beanz.
