Wings for Life World Run - Toronto
The Wings for Life World Run in Toronto is an app-based event taking place on 9 May 2027 at Sulphur Springs Train Station and along a nearby rail trail in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. The course is a flat, scenic gravel rail trail that winds through forested sections and includes occasional road crossings every few kilometres.
The format has no conventional finish line. Runners and wheelchair participants move ahead of a Virtual Catcher Car that starts after the race begins and progressively increases speed until participants are overtaken. Participation in the Toronto location is coordinated through the Wings for Life World Run mobile app.
The event notes accessibility for wheelchair participants and local race support such as a refreshment station, timing and race numbers, and local set up. All donations and entry fees from the event are directed to spinal cord research projects.
