Wings for Life World Run Dallas
The Wings for Life World Run in Dallas is an app-based event organized by Wings for Life World Run. The meet location listed is Katy Trail Icehouse and the local route runs along the Katy Trail in the heart of Dallas. The on-course loop is approximately 1.8 miles out and 1.8 miles back, for a total loop of about 3.6 miles (approximately 6 km).
The event uses a Virtual Catcher Car format: there is no fixed finish line and competitors, including wheelchair participants, run or roll to stay ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. The Catcher Car begins driving after the race start at an initial speed of 14 km/h and steadily increases speed until the last athletes are caught.
