Proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas at Richardson, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to this charity are tax deductible. The Richardson Club serves youth ages 6 to 18 and offers programs in Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles through center based and small group activities.
The race began in 2006 as a local partnership to support a charity and has since highlighted the Spring Creek Nature Preserve as part of its course. Parking for the event is provided at the Bank of America parking garage at 2390 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082, with published directions from both north and south approaches.
Awards recognize top performers: a special trophy for the top male and female overall and masters finishers, and awards for the top three males and females in the following age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-79 and older.
