The first annual Wings and Warriors 5K & Fun Run brings together school communities in Maitland, FL. Choose a chip-timed 5K or a casual 1-mile dash through the neighborhood. All participants get a race shirt, and top finishers in each category win medals.

Event Overview

The Wings and Warriors 5K & Fun Run is the first annual event hosted by Dommerich Elementary and Maitland Middle Schools. It takes place on March 7, 2026, at Dommerich Elementary School in Maitland, Florida. The starting area is the back parking lot, accessed through Mojave Trail.

Distances

The event features two distances:

A professionally chip-timed 5K.
An untimed 1-mile Fun Run called the Dommerich Dash.

Course

The 5K course travels through the Dommerich Estates neighborhood. The race begins and ends at the back of the Dommerich Elementary and Maitland Middle Schools campus.

Registration and Perks

All registered participants receive a dri-fit race t-shirt, a race bib, and a swag bag. Medals are awarded to the top winners in each grade and age category, including a special division for teachers. Registration includes entry to the 1-mile Fun Run.

Early bird pricing is available until February 20, 2026. A family discount is applied when registering three or more participants in the same transaction. Teachers can run for free.

Additional Information

Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the race, March 6, 2026, at the Dommerich Elementary School back parking lot.
