Event overview
HOPE's 15th Annual Sham Rock N Run 5k takes place on March 14, 2026 in Oviedo, Florida. The event is hosted at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2021 West State Road 426, Oviedo, FL 32765. The program includes an in-person 5k and related options, a virtual 5k, a Snooze for HOPE event, and a free Lil' Leprechaun Lap for children ages 1-9.

The first 700 registrants will receive a performance T-shirt, finisher’s medal, and a custom race bib. T-shirt sizes are adult sizes only and are not guaranteed after January 25, 2026. Race bags containing the event T-shirt and 5K items will be distributed to attendees; participants are asked to return the bag filled with non-perishable food to support the event food pantry.
Logistics, rules and awards
Packet pick up is scheduled in the days before the race and on race day at St. Luke's. If a participant is not present on race day, shirts and medals will be available for pick up at HOPE Helps beginning March 16 through March 20, 2026, or they can be mailed for an additional fee.
Children pushed in strollers may attend free; all strollers and baby joggers must start at the back of the pack. On-course restrictions prohibit skates, skateboards, bikes, and non-service animals. Parking is available on site at no charge.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in these age categories: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. All proceeds benefit HOPE Helps, Inc., whose mission is to prevent and reduce homelessness in Central Florida. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
