Corning Incorporated Wineglass 8K
The Corning Incorporated Wineglass 8K is the 17th edition of the race and the opening event of the Wineglass Race Series Challenge. It takes place on May 23, 2026, on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend in Corning, New York.
The distance is an 8K (4.97 miles) on a flat course. The route starts and finishes on the Corning-Painted Post High School track at Corning Memorial Stadium. There is a two hour course time limit. The 8K is the first race in both the Riesling and Pinot Challenges.
A virtual option is offered for the 8K only. Participants who choose the virtual 8K can still take part in the Riesling and Pinot Challenges without attending in person.
A related event, the Wineglass Kids’ Run presented by Guthrie and Dick’s Sporting Goods, includes a series of short races for children ages 3 to 8. Distances for the kids run range from about 50 meters up to 800 meters. All kids participants receive a race t shirt, a special prize, and a snack and drink.
