Windy City Halloween Fun Run
The Windy City Halloween Fun Run takes place on October 31, 2026 at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper, Wyoming. The event is organized by the Windy City Striders and Run Wyld and uses the Platte River trails for most of the courses.

- 1k kids fun run
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
About 99 percent of the routes run on the Platte River trails with only two road crossings. The 5k route includes inflatable decorations along the course. The 10k follows a loop that passes the Mills water treatment area and has a minimal aid station at the turnaround; the half marathon continues to Paradise Valley Park where there is a well stocked aid station at the turnaround, plus the minimal aid station noted for the 10k.
The 1k kids fun run is free of entry cost but requires registration for waivers; local businesses will provide candy and the first 100 children receive a free bag for collecting candy. Timing for the 5k, 10k, and half marathon is not chip recorded, though an official clock will record gun start time.
Runners and walkers are welcome; children under 12 must run with an adult. Dogs and strollers are allowed. Day of registration and bib pickup are handled at the Tate Pumphouse and online registration is accepted up to the start of the event.
