About the race
The T-Bird Trek is a fundraising race hosted by Casper College Foundation on September 13, 2026. Proceeds support scholarships for Casper College students and alumni initiatives. The 2025 Trek raised nearly $12,000 and drew 371 participants ages 4 to 78.
Multiple race distances are offered:
- Half-marathon (Lookout Point) up Casper Mountain and back to campus
- Half-marathon (Mostly Downhill) starts near Hogadon and finishes at Casper College
- 10K on campus and area trails with a turnaround
- 5K on campus streets and the Platte River Trail
Registered participants receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race; there are no age-division awards. Children under 12 run free with a registered adult. The event provides race packet pickup on Saturday, September 12, at the University Union building (first floor lobby), Casper College campus.
Virtual race options match the in-person distances. Registered virtual runners who submit their run details and photo by the registration deadline receive a performance shirt by mail; virtual runners are not eligible for chip timing or official race results.
Course notes: half-marathon and 10K participants are asked not to wear earbuds because courses share the road with vehicle traffic. Four portable restrooms are located on the courses. Professional timing and live results are provided by Laurel Innovations, including split times for half-marathon runners and result cards for all participants.
