T-Bird Trek
T-Bird Trek is a fundraising road race presented by the Casper College Foundation on the Casper College campus. The event on September 13, 2026 offers multiple course choices and supports scholarships and alumni initiatives. The 2025 Trek netted nearly $12,000 and had 371 participants ages four to 78.
- 5K on campus for runners and walkers
- 10K on the Platte River Trail with a turnaround point
- Lookout Point Half marathon up Casper Mountain and back to campus
- Mostly Downhill Half marathon starting near the top of Casper Mountain and finishing at campus
Registered participants receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race; age division awards are not offered. A virtual option is available; virtual runners receive a T shirt if registered by September 12 and are not eligible for chip timing or inclusion in official results. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at the University Union first floor lobby on the Casper College campus. For safety, half marathon and 10K runners are asked not to wear earbuds because portions of the courses share the road with vehicle traffic. Course amenities include four portable restrooms at approximate locations on the course, post race breakfast burritos, and a fire pit recovery area.
