Wild Turkey 5K
The Wild Turkey 5K is an annual running event held at Marsh Creek State Park and hosted by Windsor Christian Academy. The course runs along the lake and through woods and is described as hilly and scenic. The event functions as a Thanksgiving fundraiser and community outreach; proceeds benefit the Windsor Christian Academy Classroom Building Campaign.
Participants who register by November 12 are guaranteed a soft-style festive race t-shirt in their size. Awards and prizes have included handcrafted coffee mugs, commemorative glasses, and wooden medals. A raffle featuring gourmet bakery pies is part of the event. The race is presented in the context of Windsor’s Christ centered education and is planned for the Glory of God.
