West Chester Turkey Trot
The West Chester Turkey Trot is an annual community event held in downtown West Chester, Pennsylvania. Organized by the West Chester Downtown Foundation, this event takes place on Thanksgiving Day and offers participants a selection of distances suitable for different paces and activity types.
The event features three primary categories:
- Gold Wave 5k Run: Intended for participants with an expected completion time of under 30 minutes.
- Maroon Wave 5k Run: Intended for participants with an expected completion time of over 30 minutes.
- 2k Walk: A 1-mile walking event.
Participants are welcome to use strollers during the event. To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, organizers request that participants refrain from bringing pets to the course.
Registration for the event typically closes at the end of October. Regarding logistics, bibs and event t-shirts are not distributed via mail. All participants must arrange for in-person pick-up of their race materials or have another individual collect them on their behalf.
