Chester County Turkey Trot - 25th year
The Chester County Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving morning event held at Downingtown West High School in Downingtown, PA. The program includes a timed 5K with two starting waves, a 2K walk, and a kids' fun run on the school track. The event supports Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Cure4Cam Hero Fund, and proceeds also benefit the Downingtown West cross country team.

Racing is organized into a Gold Wave for runners projected under 25 minutes and a Blue Wave for those projected over 25 minutes. Technical running shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,000 registered runners; no shirts are provided for the free kids' run. Prize distribution and other awards are handled at the prize table inside the stadium, with cash awards for top Gold Wave finishers and pies for age-group places. Stroller use is not allowed in the Gold Wave and is strongly discouraged in the Blue Wave. Pets are not permitted at the event due to crowding. Registration windows and fees vary by event.
