Winchester 10K 21 February 2027
The Winchester 10 km road race takes place in Winchester, starting outside Winchester Guildhall and finishing at The North Walls Recreation Centre. The event uses a one-lap closed road route that passes through urban streets and nearby villages, combining town centre sections with countryside parkland.
The course runs from The Broadway and continues along St George's Street toward the village of Kingsworthy. The return route passes through Headbourne Worthy before rejoining Winchester for the finish. The event typically attracts over 1500 runners. Entry includes chip timing and a finisher medal; a no medal entry option is also available.
Marshalling is organised for the event; volunteers receive a credit voucher and community groups can earn a donation of £200. Roads are closed for the duration of the race and organisers provide maps and diversion routes for local access.
There is no official event car park. Suggested parking is St Peter's on Gordon Road, about 800 metres from both the start and the finish. Chesil Street Multi Storey is noted as free to park on Sundays. Participants are asked to follow the event code of conduct and the published local information on road closures and diversions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
