Winchester 10 km Road Race
The Winchester 10 km road race is scheduled for 21 February 2027 and is based at Winchester Guildhall on High Street. The event follows a single closed road lap that begins outside the Guildhall in The Broadway, with the start located in front of the King Alfred statue.
The course runs up St George's Street, continues out toward the village of Kingsworthy, returns via Headbourne Worthy and proceeds back toward Winchester to finish at The North Walls Recreation Centre. The route passes through a mix of urban streets and countryside parkland.
The race has a long history, having begun in 1983 as a ten mile event and switching to the 10 km distance in the late 1980s. Typical entry includes chip timing and a finisher medal, with a no medal entry option also offered. Entry fees are listed between GBP 28.00 and GBP 36.00.
Volunteer marshals receive a credit voucher and community groups can earn a £200 donation for helping with marshalling. Local traffic will be affected during the event with road closures in place for the duration of the race. There is no official event car park; a recommended public car park is St Peter's Gordon Road, roughly 800 metres from the start and finish.
