Wimborne 10 Mile Road Race
Organised by Wimborne AC since 1998, this is an undulating scenic 10 mile road race starting and finishing at Pamphill BH21 4EE. The course is accurately measured and carries a SEAA Course Measurement Certificate Number 23/289; a course map and race licence are available from the event webpage.
The route is fully marshalled every 0.5 mile and carries mile markers and direction signs throughout. There are three water stations on course plus one at the finish. Chip timing is used and results are made available immediately after the race. A finish cut off of 2 hours 15 minutes is applied and is administered at each of the three on-course water stations.
The surface is generally in good condition but includes some potholes and uneven sections. There are no road closures outside the immediate start and finish area. The race is headphone and earphone free. It is not suitable for wheelchair users or prams, and dogs are not permitted.
Finishers receive a memento along with free tea and homemade cake. Male runners finishing under 60 minutes and female runners finishing under 70 minutes are eligible to receive a commemorative T shirt. The event is part of the Dorset Road Race League for 2026.
