Tactical coastal running in Dorset
The Bournemouth Coastal TEN takes place along the Dorset coastline, starting from the Hengistbury Head nature reserve. Participants can select between two distances on the day:

- 10 km
The event follows a largely flat and traffic-free route along Bournemouth’s seafront paths. Both distances include a section across Boscombe Pier, providing views across the English Channel. On clear days, the course offers sights of the Isle of Wight, The Needles, and Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast.
The race utilizes chip timing for professional results. Organizers provide water stations along the course and marshals to assist with navigation. The start area at Hengistbury Head includes hard-standing parking and permanent facilities for participants. After finishing the route, runners receive a medal and refreshments.
