Bournemouth Coastal TEN

The Bournemouth Coastal TEN offers two measured coastal distances that run from Hengistbury Head in Bournemouth, Dorset. The event features a 10 Mile route and a 10K route along Bournemouth seafront, including passage along Boscombe Pier.

The event base is at Hengistbury Head nature reserve, which provides facilities and hard-standing parking. Both courses follow largely traffic-free seafront paths with uninterrupted sea views; on clear days runners can see the Isle of Wight, The Needles, and Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast.

Course characteristics are largely flat with modest elevation gain: the 10 Mile route records about +102 m and the 10K about +50 m. The race is chip timed and includes a finisher's medal, post-race refreshments, water stations, encouraging marshals and first aid provision on course. Entries receive a personalised certificate and finishers goodies.

Practical notes for participants state that bib numbers are collected on arrival using a displayed QR code and that the event operates a plastic free policy, asking runners to bring a reusable cup or bottle for water stations. The route will be signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape, and hazards or road junctions will be marked with Caution signs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
