Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K
The Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K takes place in Wilmington, North Carolina, featuring several race options through the city's historic district. Participants can choose between different distances that showcase the local scenery, including the waterfront and several downtown structures.
Available distances include:
- 16.2 Miles (Historic Challenge: 5K and Half Marathon)
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.2 Miles (10K)
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
The Half Marathon and 10K courses include three bridges and over one mile along the riverwalk. The 5K route weaves through the historic downtown area and concludes at Riverfront Park. For those choosing the 16.2 mile challenge, the 5K must be completed within 45 minutes to reach the start line for the second race. Virtual options are also available for all distances, allowing participants to complete their run independently.
All in-person courses are closed to traffic. The event concludes with a finish line gathering at Riverfront Park featuring music and refreshments. Registration for participants includes a race bib, a finisher medal specific to the distance completed, and a t-shirt. A bonus gift is provided to the first 1200 registrants.
