Event overview
The Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K takes place on 12.6.2025 in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The start and finish are at Riverfront Park, 10 Cowan St, Wilmington, NC 28401. The event offers four distance options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Challenge (5K + Half Marathon)
All courses use fully closed streets through historic downtown Wilmington. The Half Marathon and 10K include running over three downtown bridges and more than one mile along the Riverwalk. The Challenge combines the 5K and the Half Marathon and includes race bib, Half Marathon finisher medal, long sleeve shirt, 5K finisher medal, a Challenge slider and a bonus gift. Challenge entrants must complete the 5K in under 45 minutes to participate in the Half Marathon.
Logistics and services
The finish area is in Riverfront Park and includes a post-race party with music, beer provided by Wrightsville Beach Brewery and Oden Brewing Company, and BBQ. Every participant receives a finisher medal; awards for top finishers are available at an Awards Tent (no awards ceremony; awards are not mailed). Entry fees shown on the event page are: Challenge $150, Half Marathon $95, 10K $70, 5K $65. Donations associated with the event support local nonprofits, with a stated donation goal of $5,000.
