Event details
The Wilmington Historic race takes place on December 6, 2025, with the start and finish at Riverfront Park, 10 Cowan St, Wilmington, NC 28401. The event uses a completely closed course through historic downtown Wilmington. The courses cross all three downtown bridges and include more than one mile along the riverwalk on the Half Marathon and 10K routes. The finish area is in Riverfront Park and includes music, beer from Wrightsville Beach Brewery and Oden Brewing Company, and on-site barbecue.

Registration prices are listed per event and increase after October 31, 2025. Challenge registration includes a race bib, Half Marathon finisher medal, long sleeve shirt, 5K finisher medal, a challenge slider and a bonus gift. Challenge runners must complete the 5K in under 45 minutes to be eligible for the Half Marathon start; there will be no late starts. Every participant receives a finisher medal. Awards for top finishers are available at an awards tent; there will be no awards ceremony and awards cannot be mailed. Age group brackets are available on the event FAQ.
